Assignment 1: Reasons for Writing

Elie Wiesel
Elie Wiesel had many reasons why he wrote this book. One reason is that without his testimony, my life as a writer—or my life, period --- would not have become what it is. The evidence shows that in the early days of their accession to power, the Nazis in Germany set out to build a society in which there simply would be no room for Jews. Elie had hard time because most of his family member died in his family. He wanted everybody to see the struggles of the holocaust that he had went through.
